Located on legendary Post
Office Street and only a few blocks from the
beach, this historic structure has been central
to Galveston history for more than a century.
Originally built by Ballinger and Jack, a prestigious
Galveston law firm, the building subsequently
housed the Texas Supreme Court from 1875 until
1890. From 1900 until near the end of the twentieth
century, the structure was known as Eibands
clothing store, then briefly became an antiques
gallery.
